Information Kiosk

Fawkner Community House maintains a Community Information Kiosk for the residents of Fawkner.

The Information Kiosk is self serve resource for people to find a service for themselves. The pamphlets are on display in the main room of the house and there are some alternative language pamphlets available.

Moreland Community Health Service

Moreland Community Health Service provides a time and place where you can get information and referral about any welfare issue. Most of the duty workers are bilingual and their languages include Italian, Turkish, Spanish, Cantonese and Mandarin as well as English.

Telephone interpreters can be provided. The Duty Worker can be contacted at the following times:

Monday to Friday

1PM to 4PM

either call Ph. 9350 4000 or drop in at 93 Bell St, Coburg (no appointment required)

If you need to see someone in Fawkner, appointments can be made to see a Duty Worker at Fawkner Community Health Centre Ph. 9357 2444 at 79 Jukes Rd Fawkner. (English, and Arabic speaking social workers are available at this site)

Legal Issues

Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault

These issues require specialist assistance and people can find a fact sheet of services for surviving domestic violence and sexual assault. In the case of an emergency call '000' for Victorian Police attendance.

Various pamphlets on Parenting issues and services to assist families with the important task of caring for children, come in and see what is available to families.

Information resources at the Kiosk is free of charge and if you cannot find what you're looking for please talk to the staff of the house for ideas of where to look or assistance with who to contact.
